FOUR NEW TEAMS JOIN CHPFFL        August 25, 2001

STEVENS POINT – There was some turnover in the CHPFFL this year.  Unlike previous years, where there was stability in the league, four teams dropped out of the league.  Two of these were original members, Mike Williams and Ron Clementi.  We are sad to see these players leave, but we wish them the best as they pursue other avenues.  Another veteran of many years, Perry Pazdernik,  also bid farewell.  Finally, Cully Swansen, a rookie last year, did not want to commit to this year, thanks to the arrival of his new son, as well as some other things.  He is a possibility for the future, should we need someone down the road.

Thankfully, there were enough other people that wanted to join so that we were able to maintain our 14 team league.  It was not as easy to fill the slots this year, but with a few strategically placed phone calls to my sources I was able to fill the spots.  New to the league this year will be Dan McGinnity, Jason Schilling, Ron Tippel, and TJ Schwebach.  TJ is known for his participation in the Merk Keeper League.  McGinnity and Schilling are employees of the Noel Group, a new recruitment center, and Tippel attended UW-Stevens Point as a math major.  He became re-acquainted with the commish through his wife, who used to be the commish’s neighbor.

Let’s all welcome these fine folks to the Cold Heat Productions Fantasy Football League.
