Dan McGinnity, owner of The Fighting Irish, has relinquished a 3/5 stake in the team to Tom Zavadsky – Executive Vice President of Sales at Travel Guard Insurance Company. When asked to comment, McGinnity confirmed that he had put in the “sweat equity” in building the team, and it was time for Zavadsky to put up a larger share of the team fee.
“This is about winning,” declared a confident McGinnity. “He keeps a good eye on what everyone is doing and should help bring this team to a championship.”
Zavadsky could not be reached for immediate comment, but it was believed that he was still trying to figure out whether or not it was NFL Week 2 or NFL Week 3 as of presstime.
